Wild soul Summer Camps 2025
NATURE ADVENTURE CAMP for Ages 7-12
In our 4-day nature adventure camps, children will have the opportunity to tune into and explore the natural world around them while connecting with peers and having lots of fun! Through playing games, exploration and interaction with nature, time for quiet observation and reflection, following natural curiosity and working with story, participants will develop the art of noticing and awareness, strengthen a connection to their senses and natural ways of being, and experience deep learning through play. Providing an experience for each child that feels enlivening, supportive, and engaging while having fun with friends, working with a group and growing an awareness of others’ needs, thoughts, opinions is also am integrative part of our approach.
These camps do not just provide care for your child, but provide a high-quality and meaningful experience. Mentorship and personal connection is a key part of our philosophy that we work to maintain in all our programs and offerings. For more information about our teaching philosophy, visit the About page.
For our camp, kids should be prepared to be outside from 9am-3pm in any weather! They will need to bring a morning snack and full lunch, 1.5L of water, closed-toe shoes (we'll take them off when we can!), sun protection (hat, sunscreen), a small nature journal and pen/pencil, and clothes that are appropriate for rain and/or moving through tall grass and vegetation. These should all be packed in a backpack that the child can carry. An extra change of clothes may also be useful - we will get muddy, we will get wet in streams and creeks, and we will be putting our bodies in contact with the earth!
Please do not bring: toys, cards, knives/weapons, fire-starters, sugary food/candy. All these things
have their place, but they will be distracting at camp!
TEEN CONNECTION CAMP for ages 13-15
In this Monday-Thursday camp, we will be providing the opportunity for older students to experience the deep nature-connection work that we do in a fun, engaging and supportive environment. In this camp, teens will learn, build skills and be challenged, all while building relationships with other teens and our skilled mentors. While there are a number of possible topics and skill areas that may be addressed, the experience will be tailored to the specific interests, capacity and needs of the group of teens who participate.
Participants will need to come prepared with snacks and lunch, lots of water, closed-toe shoes, sun protection, weather-appropriate clothing (including rain gear if rain is in the forecast), a journal or sketchbook and pencil, and a backpack to carry it all in. They will be moving through the landscape, so being prepared for varied terrain and encounters with grass, shrubs, dirt, mud and insects is necessary.
