Wild soul Summer Camps

NATURE ADVENTURE CAMP for Ages 7-12

In our 4-day nature adventure camps, children will have the opportunity to tune into and explore the natural world around them while connecting with peers and having lots of fun! Through playing games, exploration and interaction with nature, time for quiet observation and reflection, following natural curiosity and working with story, participants will develop the art of noticing and awareness, strengthen a connection to their senses and natural ways of being, and experience deep learning through play. Providing an experience for each child that feels enlivening, supportive, and engaging while having fun with friends, working with a group and growing an awareness of others’ needs, thoughts, opinions is also am integrative part of our approach.

These camps do not just provide care for your child, but provide a high-quality and meaningful experience. Mentorship and personal connection is a key part of our philosophy that we work to maintain in all our programs and offerings. For more information about our teaching philosophy, visit the About page.

For our camp, kids should be prepared to be outside from 9am-3pm in any weather! They will need to bring a morning snack and full lunch, 1.5L of water, closed-toe shoes (we'll take them off when we can!), sun protection (hat, sunscreen), a small nature journal and pen/pencil, and clothes that are appropriate for rain and/or moving through tall grass and vegetation. These should all be packed in a backpack that the child can carry. An extra change of clothes may also be useful - we will get muddy, we will get wet in streams and creeks, and we will be putting our bodies in contact with the earth!

Please do not bring: toys, cards, knives/weapons, fire-starters, sugary food/candy. All these things
have their place, but they will be distracting at camp!

**Please note: registration does reserve you a spot, but does not guarantee acceptance into the program. While we will do all we can to make our programs accessible to all, we reserve the right to ensure we are a good fit for each other and that it is within our ability to meet your child's needs. We place great importance on the physical and emotional health and safety of all our participants, and make decisions accordingly. If a child is not a good fit for the program, instructors will discuss the issue with parents and refunds will be decided on a case-by-case basis.

We also reserve the right to cancel camps that do not have eight students enrolled by June 1st. In this case, you will be notified by email and/or phone and you may choose to switch to another week of camp or have your tuition refunded. Thank you!**
