Fox Walkers Saturday Program

Want some meaningful activity, learning and connection time in nature for your schooled kiddo? Come join Fox Walkers, our Saturday program designed for kids who want to do all the fun, exciting and connective things we do in our school year program, but can’t come during the week!
Fox Walkers Registration
Kids LOVE our monthly program because we:
-really play! Running, dodging, hiding, sneaking, building, drawing, storytelling, and laughing.
-drop in deeply, quietly, building awareness, listening, learning to walk like the fox...and then we have outrageous animal encounters! We find ourselves consumed in wonder and joy at what we maybe didn’t even realize was there. We learn to see with new eyes.

Parents LOVE Wild Soul programs because:
-their kids become passionate observers of the natural world.
-children feel held, supported, inspired and excited by peers and instructors
-while kids think they are playing and having fun, they are (shhhhh) really learning!
-participants come back to their families full of stories of fun and excitement, but they also have been mentored into deep relationship with nature, with each other, and with themselves.

All that happens with just one Saturday a month?! You bet. We aren't a science club or a play date, a sport or a mindfulness retreat, and yet we draw from the best of all these things, from how kids naturally learn and from what children love most. It turns out Deep Nature Connection is the most meaningful fun we could ever hope to have. Join us!

Program Details

This program is for kids ages 7-12 and runs from September through May, with nine program days in all. Additionally, there are a handful of outside-of-program activities held by Wild Soul that your family is welcome to attend. We encourage your participation in these events, as it deepens your understanding of and connection to the work that we do in program. You will be provided with a calendar that will allow you to prepare for these events well in advance.

Our program takes place fully outdoors, though we will have access to shelter if needed. Wild weather can often be a fun challenge and an opportunity to build resilience. We will hold program in and around Durango.

Parents are responsible for providing weather appropriate clothing, water, food, snacks and sun protection. Children will need a comfortable backpack in which to carry their things, and weather-appropriate shoes and layers in order to participate. You will be given more specific information about what to bring before program begins.

In support of the kind of work we do, you will need to sign up for all nine sessions. We understand you may miss some of the program days due to travel or other family plans, but, for the stability of the program, registration is for the full year and no refunds will be given for absences or scheduling conflicts. We do not allow drop-in or short-term attendance. You will be asked for a $50 non-refundable deposit upon registration to reserve your spot. The details and class dates are listed below. Please feel free to contact us with any questions!

**Please note: registration does reserve you a spot, but does not guarantee acceptance into the program. While we will do all we can to make our programs accessible to all, we reserve the right to ensure we are a good fit for each other and that it is within our ability to meet your child's needs before their spot is guaranteed. We place great importance on the physical and emotional health and safety of all our participants, and make decisions accordingly. If for some reason we decide we are not a good match for you and your child, your deposit will be fully refunded. In all other cases, the deposit is non-refundable.

We also need to meet minimum enrollment numbers and have qualified staff to make a program work. If we have not met our necessary enrollment numbers or cannot find appropriate instructors, the program in question may be canceled. In this case you will receive a full refund for any deposit or tuition paid. Please register promptly! Thank you for your cooperation and understanding!**
